Living in the middle.

The start of a new thing. A challenging place to conceptualize when really, I’m living in the middle. I’m currently sitting in my frequented local coffee shop contemplating the last ten years. In that span of time I married Dustin, moved to Santa Barbara, and had two kids before we made some life altering choices. When our oldest boy was 4 and our youngest at the time was 2 we set out from California and made our home in Bend, Oregon.

Since arriving here, we have had added another boy to our brood, entered into foster care, started new businesses and bought our first home. I’m excited to thread all the beauty of God’s grace into the details of our story for you as time goes on. For now, I want to share the vision for this space that you may have stumbled upon.

My husband and I are both Jesus followers, passionate about health and changing the systems that play into it, and apparently raising a gaggle of boys…5 and counting to be exact. In this space you’ll find musings about life, motherhood, and leaning on Jesus’s everlasting arms. You’ll hear parts of our foster care journey and how we’ve made our way through. You will find topics such as birth, health, and natural ways of living that may challenge the norm. I am very much an amateur writer, which means you’ll inevitably find typos and grammatical errors as well. Regardless of the content and flaws that will shine through, I do hope that the overall chorus you hear is the melody of a life lived in tune with Christ. His calling on my family is sure, while the world is growing more chaotic, His kindness and faithfulness always sings through, like the chorus of a song that brings you back to balance and rhythm. He is there. I pray you find peace and encouragement here.
